Better late than never!!



The Santa Claus has been sitting very calm on the sofa.



Yesterday I at last picked off the Christmas decorations!! I know it was late but I never use to pick off the decorations early. Special the electric Advent candlesticks and stars in the windows. Evenings it´s so dark outside in the Winter!! When you take it away it lookes a bit boring without the lights. Well it´s only 10 months left to bring it out again...and better late than never!!

One seems to be climbing.

Nostalgia and trend!!

This material in the cloth could be used in bolsters, pillows and mattresses before.

Nowadays I´ve seen it in jackets, vests and other things. Guess it´s beginning to be popular
again. I love it!! There are other colors too, but I love the blue material most of all of course!!

And the porcelain "Mon Amie" (My Friend) which was designed by Marianne Westman 1952,

when she was employed at Rörstrand.


She was born June 17, 1928 in Falun in Dalarna.

Coffee from Zanzibar.

Someone buy all sorts of coffee, perhaps the cheapest for the day.

I´m not looking at the price of the coffee, I always take Gevalia,

medium roast!! Today I had to taste another sort of coffee at home.
My son and his girlfriend have been in Africa for some weeks in
Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Zanzibar (Tanzania). And on Zanzibar
he bought a new sort of an African coffee to me. And that coffee had
a wonderful taste even if the name was Africafe instead of Gevalia!!

Bungalow in Indian Ocean??

The other day I saw a cozy little bungalow standing in the Indian Ocean!!

Well I thought it was a bungalow. Yesterday I found some more photos

of that little house built on a little rock out in the sea. It was a restaurant

in the sea outside Zanzibar. Zanzibar is an island outside Tanzania.

The beach around that island seems so beautiful with white sand

and turquoise water!! It would be a dream to bathe in that water and to

eat in that cute restaurant!! I read that there are many dolphins out in the

sea on some places, and if you want to, you can go swimming and snorkel with them!!

I would never be able to do it, but sit in a boat looking at them maybe!!



You don´t have to be wet or go by boat when it´s ebb!!



The dolphins seem to be very kind!!

Mountain Gorillas.

What an experience to go to Africa and look at the Mountain Gorillas!! In the video here they seem to be very kind animals!! It´s only about 780 mountain gorillas left in the world today, in National Parks in Rwanda, DR of Congo and Uganda. This video is from Bwindi Forest National Park in Uganda.

"Wild Africa" shows many animals, but some 

monkeys too!! 

Tradition New Year´s Day!!



Wiener Sängerknaben.



The New Year´s Concert by the philharmonic of Vienna is a tradition to look at every New Year´s Day.

I don´t know how many years I have seen it but as I´m old.... it must be rather many times!! In TV it has been sent since 1959, but today it was the year of the 72nd today. I remember in school in the first grades our teacher asked us if we had been looking at the concert. Of course it wasn´t anybody who was interested to listen at that sort of music then!! I admit that I can´t listen to classical music either, without any melody on the pieces of music!! But today it was beautiful I think and the Vienna Boys Child (Wiener Sängerknaben) were singing too. The photos aren´t so clear on the TV and computer.



Playing on a harp really is a dream!!
